How a session goes

We talk first.

A message, a few questions. Who they are, what they hate, what makes them tilt their head.

We work at their eye level and wait for the catchlight. Nothing is posed. Most of them forget the camera is there.

Within 48 hours, three frames. Then the full gallery, together — the part everyone remembers, and the reason the balance isn’t due until you have seen it.

We have heard all of them. Here’s what actually happens.

“He won’t sit still.”

Good. Sitting still is not the picture. We shoot wide open and keep going, and the frame we keep is usually the one he moved into.

“She hides from strangers.”

Then the camera comes out last. The first stretch is floor time — no lens, no lights, no expectations. She decides when we start.

“My cat will hate this.”

So we come to her. Cats are photographed at home, on their own furniture, in their own light. She never leaves the flat.
